Want and Will
I just want to be the thing
You never dream
But always find.
The one who
Never makes it out
From the corners of your mind.
The one with whom you never knew
You’d spend all
Your pleasant time.
Even though you are the thing
That brings me back to life,
I’ll act the fool who never knew
You were the freedom from my strife.
When the fog is pulled away
From those all-seeing tawny eyes
I’ll sport my best theatricals
As a shroud of my surprise.
When all is said and done
And you wake from the lies
I’ll be the thing with which
Your hands
And your fate are intertwined.
