Wandering thoughts

-- Hebrews 3:10

New English Translation

10 “Therefore, I became provoked at that generation and said, ‘Their hearts are always wandering and they have not known my ways.’

Wandering thoughts

Here we go again thinking in silence

The flesh takes its course far from common sense

Forming and building castles out of the sand

Just to last for a moment and then to collapse

Always darkness and then a fake-full light

Now deeper inside earnest effort grows dense

Feelings take over then to bind the hands

Of reality and truth turned over to perhaps

How many did fail in following their own thoughts?

How many did crumble so far before too late?

Not many capturing quickly the wandering mind

And quenched the subtle lust before it matured

Where is the end of persistently falling apart?

Where are the pieces that scattered into space?

Fallen again it seems to be directed toward a mime

Covered by and smelly being dipped in fresh manure
