The night has shown me many things, things that after seemingly seconds of slumber have infected my brain like a parasite.
I am left with nothing but the remnants of these moments inside.
Whether it is the creature that stood within my house when I was young burning holes through mine with his glare of his crimson eyes, or the trickery of the master puppeteer called Shadows, who forms frightening figures that freely fight my conscious into believing that there is truth in the images he produces.
I know that within the hours of dusk and dawn there is a new world opened up for my eyes to feast upon. A reflection of a star upon a dark rock high above that changes its form weekly.
A shimmering cloth elegantly stretched across the universe that opens up my mind to a place of childhood.
The night has shown me many things and many things I have yet to learn from it.
