Uplift

To change something is to end something,

The ugliness shall die.

The pain of the poverty

is where my change would lie.

I've lived a life without wealth of money

that has been satisfying and sweet.

But money can change so very much,

make the world a little more sweet.

I'd give to those who need it,

take from those who don't.

Even out the playing field

something others won't.

Money can't fix everything

but it can surely assist.

That's why when I think of change

it graces the top of my list.
