UNSPOKEN LIES

Devils

Who move by night

Disappear without warning

Just for the pain of it

The stars seem about to fall

Into your open arms

And then a guarded look

Comes into his eyes

I kept telling myself

I would love you

In every way

But my love was too late

For that door in my mind

To all that I held dear…

I realized I was wrong

For questions are beyond simple words

And hope is an enigma…

Our time was up

I guess it was just an image

With dark, morbid, empty spaces

A prison for TRUTH

I feel the rhythm of fate

Play inside of me

An I have been trampled again…

In memory I shall recall a life

Where paradise is beyond my grasp

And poisoned by unspoken lies…
