unrequited love

two hearts, one soul

with you i felt whole.

when all is done

and all is lost,

with every breath i exhaust.

my love for you it never ends

with every glance,

my heart it bends.

my heart flutters

when i see your smile.

please love me,

i’ll make it worth your while.

in your love i wish to smother,

but in your heart you love another.

so i choke on smoke

and lay awoke

by the sounds of broken hope

and in the dark i watch you gloat.

now i lay here full of shame

with no one else to blame

and i’m left to wonder

do you even know my name?
