Mourn for the unnamed soldier,
Whose past will ne'er be known,
Where he's from, where he's gone,
Nor the dreams he would have sown.

Mourn for the unnamed soldier,
His sacrifice goes unheard,
The trials of his life, the pains he's felt;
Neither death's sweet release on wings of birds.

Mourn for the unnamed soldier,
Tis' honor he deserves,
For tis hope he's giv'n the young,
Through the time that he did serve.

But alas he lies forgotten,
On grounds in soil unknown,
Across the sea where he now sleeps,
Forgotten and alone.

Oh, Mourn for the unnamed soldier,
Make not his life in vain,
Upon this great nation in which we live,
Bring not on her head such shame.

For he who fought for your rights,
Has reached up to unnamed heights.

This is for those soldiers who lost their lives in war fighting for our rights but never received honor for their sacrifices.
