Unless two

Philippians 1:21

21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

 Unless

Unless I die today completely ... I just won’t live at all

If I don’t die to myself ... am I then dead already?

A different life, a different death according to The Fall

Than what is life and what is death ... in which am I already?

When the Holy Spirit rules ... then my life is living

But if I stand in the way it becomes a form of death

What I think life to be ... is a living death indeed

For Christ is not living ... the Life He wants in me

The living Word of God ... Jesus Christ, Himself,

Will create division between my soul and spirit

Playing games is over and compromise not wanted

If we hunger deep enough ... the kingdom to inherit

When my poor old soul is brought under the control

of the Holy Spirit … the change will be so immense

That myself can’t recognize the completed parts in me

When Jesus takes charge and moves away all pretense
