The Unknown

Who said autumn leaves fall to their death?

I think they cover the ground with their beauty,

Like colorful souls bestowing their love

On the gray roads of rock below.

Who said just because your heart is beating

You should be breathing,

Because I hear mine in my throat.

Its telling me there couldn’t be a greater lie.

Who said being a wanderer

Always meant you were lost,

When they are carving our fantasies into history

With every unknowing but willing fearful step they take.

Who said that daydreams of dragons and knights,

Fairies and golden wings,

Dancing around in my head couldn’t be reality,

Because if dreams are a gathering of memories,

Then I have lived in each and every sparkling era.
