Astronomers Predict that the Andromeda Gallaxy will colide with the Milky Way in 

about 4 billion years.  This has a lot of people worried.

A list of things that will happen before Andromeda reaches us:

1. Near future: Climate Change threatens the way we feed ourselves and our ability to sustain 

our current population.

2. 10 Million Years:  Africa will be divided by a new ocean basin.

3. 50 Million Years: California's coast will slide into the ocean.

4. 600 Million Years: 99% of plant life will no longer be possible as sun's increasing luminosity

disrupts atmosphere.

5. 800 Million Years: multicellular life will no longer be possible.

6. 1 Billion Years: Oceans will start to evaporate from Earth into space.

7. 1.5-2.8 Billion Years: Life ceases to exist on Earth.

8. Next 100 years or so: You will die.

Stop worrying about Andromeda.
