Now unity is defined as "joined as a whole" but when we look at ourselves or others around us are we really joined together? As a nation made up of many backgrounds and ethnicity we should be able to embrace this diversity and learn from but instead we shy away and retreat into the darkness beacause we are afraid of change or we don't look similar on the outside but unity isn't all about looking the same it's about having one common goal and realizing what that goal is and by that bring each other closer together. I mean look at M.L.K he was different on the outside but on the inside he had goal and that brought everyone else together because they had the same exact one FREEDOM, TOLERANCE, LOVE. We are so broken by the wrong mindset that its hard to see through it but if we take that small step forward and break that barrier the rest will be easy.
