Unguarded

No make-up, no jeans.

Just sweatpants and crazy hair.

I’m sitting in my room,

Reading

Drawing

Learning

I want people to see me now.

No worries, no time.

Just that clock by my bed.

I’m on the floor listening to the,

Ticking

Toking

Ticking

Talk to me now.

No lullaby, no goodnight.

Just my sister using my shower.

I’m laying in my bed and everyone is awake,

Laughing

Mumbling

Breathing

I want to sleep now.

No filter to cover me.

Just a blanket and comfy PJs.

I’m drifting away,

Doubting

Dreaming

Drooling

I want them to let me sleep.

No world to bother my slumber.

Just me and myself.

I’m free to be me when I am,

Sleeping

Tossing

Turning

I am free from the filters and my walls are unguarded.
