There was a long time

where I thought I had to write

these beautifully structured poems

But then I realized that there is so much beauty

in the raw unfiltered messy thoughts 

The ones where right as you put the pen to the paper

it seems to have a mind of its own 

Writing something before I even think

about what it is I'm writing

It just flows out from the depth of my soul
