Enduring freedom can’t be found
In this blatant underground.
The seeds of sorrow have been sown
And by your tears, they have grown
This land has taken its last sigh
Its blood has long since faced the sky
The wicked moon will ever-spy
Through its cold and mocking eye
The solid, rocky sound
Of us, here in the underground

We eat the roots, the crystal sheaves
We drink through-out the oaken sleeves
Our song is that of love and hate
Learn of us, or seal our fate
Our life is neither grand nor well
Interred in this hypnotic spell
This time our sight is never wrong
On the earth, we don’t belong.
What was lost will now be found
By us, here in the underground.

We hear the raven’s silent call
Nyx is here to bless us all
The one who killed the Amazon
Of him we are the sainted spawn
Our message sounding loud and clear
Our drums beware of entrance here
The bane of those who surface- dwell
Guard well the tolling of the bell
Never again to see the mound
Of us, here in the underground

And now we see the flame of war
To open up the heaven’s door
From underneath we always view
The spirits and their retinue
Our once dear neighbors, loves, and friends
Have given us their dreaded ends.
And by those deaths we prosper well
Here with Hades, death will sell
And with bones our lands abound
Down here in the underground

At last a humble, sad farewell
To those who have progressed to hell
We do not know what them awaits
We are not burdened by their fates
For at this point our jobs are done
The living must-need carry on
Clotho here will spin her thread
For all those who will soon be dead
Of the world we've always wound
Right here, in the underground

I love how you write your poetry!!! I feel that I can relate to every word you say. (that must say a lot about me >.>) You should totally write more poetry!!!

NightShade

Thank you for your kind words! Poetry is kind of like the release valve on a boiler for me. Don't worry about relating to worrisome poetry like mine, we all go through rough times (and I really am incapable of happy poetry).
