The Underdog

There's a kid who sits

In the back of every math class

He doesn't talk to anyone

He does all of his homework

He's always studying

Because he knows one day it will get better.

He just has to work for it

Like in that book is his life

And he's just trying to solve all the problems.

Like adding 1+2 will bring his father back.

Back home to him and his mother

As if multiplying 700 by 12

His mother would be able to pay for a years rent.

If he could just divide 100 by 2

His mother would be able to feed both him and his sister.

He studies that book like it's his life,

Like he could solve all his problems.

So don’t add another problem

To his textbook called LIFE

Wow.. Intense.
