Under the Same Sky

Thu, 03/05/2015 - 18:52 -- zoso

I was honored to share the same sky as you

I find peace knowing

We gazed at the same moon

I wish I could grab the knife of life

And carve our initials into it

Like craters and dunes

There'd be a billion signatures

To hold me in place

Like the the ligature of outer space

That says so and so "wuZ heRe"

The marks start crossing paths

And overlapping like our years

Your winter was my spring

I still felt your love

If there was ever such a thing

As you withered with the trees

I picked up the leaves

Saved them all on a wreath

For the next season to see

I was honored to share the same sky as you

I find peace knowing

We once gazed at the same moon

Under the same stars

We fell hard for art

The beat goes on

For every new heart
