When told to sketch my thoughts,
they expected lines of black and white.
But when I opened my mind,
there was nothing mundane
about it.
The color bounced off the walls of my brain,
filling my heart with a similar, bright happiness.
But as people's black and white opinions sunk in,
I was pushed into a dark room.
Fear overcame me.
I felt a constant need to prove my lack of obscurities.
That I am normal.
But my colorful twists and turns said otherwise,
and so my peers got a look into the head of a girl,
forced out of her sunshine,
and into the closet.
