Unaccepted
Free your mind from the confinement of the world,
And let your soul explore the universe…
You’re too scared about what’s out to get you
And before you know it, it’s got you
And when it’s got you, it’s stopped you
And now you’re too scared to try again.
So you stay on the ground, scream to the sky
Why can’t you just make things right,
Why did you have to give me this life?
And you begin to contemplate ending it
Without putting up a fight,
And say it was never fair from the beginning
Because you weren’t given the easy life.
But the one making it hard was yourself
And you were too ignorant to recognize it
So you began to blame everyone else.
You felt as if there was no one to show you the way,
No one to help you find the key
To the secrets of the truth on living,
You felt as if your enemies were surrounding you,
But in reality they were guiding you
To the one thing you need, your destiny.
They were the lock,
The thing that restricted you from doing certain things
And helped you find the small crevasses
That you knew wouldn’t accept the shape of the key
Which was really you.
But since you weren’t being accepted
You began to give up and look for a new key.
You began to try to mimic the ones who
Have already unlocked their destiny,
But you ignore the fact that everyone’s lock is different,
And everyone is their own key.
The secret to passing through this barrier,
Is understanding that we are all on the same journey,
Of discovering our key,
Then facing the adversity
That locks away our destiny
In which nobody can take away,
Because their key cannot match yours.
So don’t stand here and lie to me,
Telling me that you’re not special.
Because when you give up on yourself,
You give up on your destiny,
And either way, that can’t be taken
By anyone else other than you.
You are wasting your chance
of discovering your destiny
by staying on the ground,
So get up and stick it out.
The harder your adversities get,
The more complex the crevasses turn and twist,
shouldnt discourage you
on whether or not your'e fit for your life.
Because the harder it gets,
the more you know
How special of a key you are.
