This Type of Perfect

Perfect is something no one thinks they are.

Perfect is a term no one can give a good definition to.

I have a definition for it.

It's not you, it's not me.

To me, perfect is how it smells before it rains.

Sleeping on a rainy day,

Running around in spring haze.

Laughing with the ones I love,

holding your hand even though its clamy.

Claiming to know something you don't just to impress me.

Cuddling a pillow under warm blankets,

Making silly faces with my brothers.

Learning something knew in school and explaining to my mom.

Going shopping with my grandmother who I call "MomMom".

Reading to my grandfather,

who is illiterate.

I love my definition of perfect.

I wish I could give you a bigger one.

I wish You would tell me yours.
