A Twisted Tale

Rapunzel, a dangerous convict

On the loose for murder, a drug addict

After five years on the run,

The chase was finally done

Locked away in a secure place

Up high where no one could see her face

Strapped in chains

A sign that read: For the Criminally Insane

Years and years went by

Long enough to create a lie

Clever enough to be believed by all

She plotted and planned her “innocent” call

By now her hair had grown to eighteen feet

And surrounding her was trash in heaps

Then along came a tired guard

Patrolling the expansive yard

Ready for action, Rapunzel screamed

The guard fell for her devious scheme

Calling up to her to check if she was okay

She let down her hair and said to climb the waves

He came up curious as can be

While she let out a horrific scream

Complaining of terrible aches

He fell for her shivering quakes

Calling for a helicopter to bring them down

She was so excited to be back in the town

Reaching landfall in a timely matter

Rapunzel ran off amidst all the clatter

Deep into the woods she went

Very shocked was the obtuse gent

Never to be seen again

Into the forest did she ascend

And so that is the story of a disturbed girl

Whose name is Rapunzel, what a pearl
