This young boy has only been in this world for nine years; grade three,
At Ermel Elementary, there are two older grade levels,
But the flower has not blossomed yet; self esteem isn’t so high, neither free.
Recess isn’t fun at all, bad memories fill the gravels.
He hates going to Ermel, the boy suffers from always being teased,
The older boys taunt, steal his lunch, and push him around, and show cruelty towards him,
Mom doesn’t believe such abusive stories; with his behavior she isn’t pleased.
I say to you young third grader, at times, life’s lights may dim.
Turn to the Lord and ask for help, but don’t retaliate,
Keep informing your teacher and counselor,
Because it is you evil may penetrate.
And soon there will be a limit to this internal massacre.
But for now keep your head held high,
Although pain fills thy heart, don’t you dare cry.
