The Truths of the Bridge

The miles you travel to take the flight;
reveals the choice for the truth that burns deep.
Forgiveness, it feels like you've lost the fight,
Yet what you see and believe you can’t keep.

The bird has left its nest to reach the dream,
but its wings can’t carry the guilt to soar.
Love subdues the heart to submerge the scream;
but the bridge will help win this unfought war.

This bridge you have made, you will keep secure;
‘cause it bonds the trust of two sides unknown.
Time shrouds the small cracks of all that’s obscure,
yet you’ll never deny this wall of stone.

A day will come when the lies fall and break,
to know its truths was my destined mistake.
