A True A-Plus
Location
Days are spent on this earth,
Studying for test that calculate your worth,
You’re smart if you pass,
You’re dumb if you fail,
Always awaiting fateful scores in the mail,
But sometimes I think we’ve got it all wrong,
That failing actually makes you strong,
And you shouldn’t put weight on win or lose,
But rather on helping people who are bruised,
Building them up, making them strong,
Letting people feel like they truly belong,
You see the way you make a mark,
Is being a light shining in the dark,
For when the breath has left your lungs,
No one will care about scores when you were young,
But they will remark on what you did,
And the people you touched since you were a kid,
For loving people is a true A-Plus
And doing what’s right is a definite must.
