Trickle-down Will

Matthew 6:9-10 New English Translation (NET Bible)

So pray this way:

Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored,
10 may your kingdom come,
may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Trickle-down will.

It seems so strange to say God’s Will

will be done in my life.

While I’m making all decisions

and do mostly what seems right.

I am a servant to my master.

Still, I am doing what I will.

When I slow down should I go faster?

When rambling on should I be still?

In all my decision making

how much of God’s will is done?

When things are just not working

is that when all my hope seems gone?

Is the will where the heart resides?

and when my heart flows over

is that where me and I collide

and fight till one rolls over?

When I sing with a soft voice

”to be molded after Your Will”.

Who in me is singing loud

and who is shedding tears, until?
