Treasure Planet

one thing,

adventure.

an escape from reality;

Planets and Pirates

shaped a child.

she saw---

she wanted to create---

but---

life stood in the way.

school became too rigorous,

friends coming and leaving.

told to be productive,

told her creation,

a waste of time,

and for a while---

it was.

“it’s not a career”

“apply to that school”

“businesses won’t like that”

“don’t do that

clouds over her heart;

a brain turned gray.

soon the tears were

hard to wipe away---

school ended,

nothing left to do;

every friend left

to do something new.

time was there to waste---

so began a search,

nothing epic,

nothing flashy,

nothing bold---

but a couple keys later,

and there it was.

the little movie

for little lambs.

one thing,

adventure.

an escape to create reality;

Pirates and Planets

that shaped a child,

re-ignited the magic

in an adult.
