Tread Not The Trodden Track

Treading on the trodden track
Knowing I knew my way back.
Stumbled on a Frosty verse
Got its point with stanzas terse;

Struck me how people ham
On Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
Followers following chest to back
Looking for likes, fearing flack.

Robert related with a sigh—
Where there’s wear, don’t comply;
Take the path you might regret
It hasn’t hurt me as of yet.

On that day I picked my pass,
Treaded o’er leaves, dewey grass.
Follow not where others drone,
And that will make all the difference.
