Transient Identity

Do you know who you are?

Tell the truth since the truth is a heavy matter

Are you as chill and sleek as your car?

Or do you see yourself as scattered and splattered

As the cracked egg you craved this morning

Or are you like me who feels everyone else is annoying

Or really simply just boring

Do you or do you not feel

That society's unspoken laws

Wring every last gasp of joy

I know life hardens the soul tougher than steel

Life comes to life in the darkest bars

Kids drowning themselves in milk and chips ahoy

I guess I am just as transient

As the owners of the parking lot
