Town of absent fathers
teenage girls create abnormal babies
bedrooms smell of explosive diariah
and cheap air freshener.
front yards become ashes,skulls,and rocks.
buildings are Styrofoam, tacks,and nails.
windows plastic wrap and scotch tape.
schools become a second job.
bathrooms are buckets and water hoses.
dining rooms are folding chairs
and plastic silverware.
street corners transform into
men that engrave pistol
images on now motionless bodies.
STD’s fly like the common cold.
now females crowd corners
for appointments at the clinique.
beaches become hospital beds.
gas stations are now morgues.
ventage systems overflow
with organs and broken dreams
now graveyards become church
sessions.
knives become pens
and blood becomes ink.
