Touch

I want you here with me.
I’m losing my way
Without gentle kisses and
“I love you“‘s caressing
your fingertips with mine.
My compass points forever
Towards you,
can you see my pleas
plastered to your eyelids?
Can’t you see that I need you?

Touch is a poem that
lacks word and rhyme.
It is a rose petal
upon a bed of diamonds,
resting upon the skin of lovers.
Can you feel its
rosy hues in the air
between our lips?

Look into my teardrop eyes
and tell me what you see.
My soul is calling out to you,
It’s song masked by
Hummingbird heartbeats and
Fluttering butterfly’s wings.
I fear your senses
Because I crave to be a part of it.
Will you let me inside
so that I may truly love you?
Let me show you that
“I love you” is eternal
When it sinks beneath the skin.
