Tornado

A rush of wind
Hair swaying in the Autumn sky
Eyes like sunsets
Look to beautiful scenes ahead

A break, in the weather
Nose turns bright cherry red in a cold fit
Crumbling leaves like books
Flip page by page on the streets abandon

A house or two is boarded up
The drummers tempo increases ev'ry minute
Forgotten shutters clap open
The beat of death bewitching the hearts of creatures

A tree whips across forlorn horizons
Screams across the city scape as towers crumble beneath
The talons of this gale swoop down like crows
To sweep human beings off of their small, pitiful feet

Death everywhere
No one here
The creatures lair
Is inhabited once more.
