Tomorrow's Impending
Dark,
Desolate, Places,
Where acid rain
Falls
From the
Sky,
Burning through your umbrella while you try to
Hide,
Run
Don't walk.
For when the acid touches your skin,
The
Pain
Will
Be
Unbearable
And
Your
Flesh
Will
Melt
Like
Butter.
Dark,
Desolate, places,
Where you hear babies cry of
Starvation and neglect,
While mothers stand on the streets holding out their
Decaying,
Bloody,
Hands,
And beg, but only hope to receive a simple crumb or drop of water.
Dark,
Desolate, places,
Where dead decomposing bodies are piled, sky high, in a ditch
And the starving, boney, rabid cats and dogs gather,
Searching for the last piece of
Human
Flesh
To devour,
And waiting for the next dead human to fall right in.
Dark,
Desolate, places,
Where water is so rare the oceans, rivers, lakes, and ponds
Have become completely dry,
And the dads who go hunting for water
Kill each other
Over
A
Single
Drop.
Dark,
Desolate, places,
Where the rich live in the underground tunnel-lands,
Hiding from reality and filth,
The more money, the better protection you get from the
Rotting
World,
People refuse to pay for their loved ones,
They
Only
Care
About
Themselves.
They would rather have better shelter and be alone
Then spare a couple dollars
To
Save
The
Ones they “love.”
They let them sit up there and die in the desolate place.
Rarely coming above ground, to view reality
They sit down their
Spoiled,
With all the
Food
And
Water
They want,
While above ground
People are
Suffering,
Dying,
Killing,
Rotting,
And eating each other if needed to, to survive.
Dark,
Desolate, places,
Where the government ran itself into the ground,
Using all the resources
Unwisely,
Killing all the necessities humans
Need
To
Live.
With no care about our water,
No care about our plants, animals, or land,
No care about anyone but themselves,
No care about the world around them.
The world’s crashing and burning.
Dark,
Desolate, places,
This is tomorrow's future.
