My parents are the true example of what a healthy relationship should be.

In my eyes.

They do not define the 'perfect relationship,'

What truly makes them a healthy couple

is that they both play an important part in each other's lives.

They lift each other up, and they never give up on each other.

Their lives weren't necessarily ideal,

They faced their challenges together.

And were always at each other's side.

They are an unseperable pair.

Even through all the battles they had to fight,

they continue to suit up in their shiny armor.

I love them.

They are both strong, beautiful people.

They complete each other.

I think that this is really what a healthy relationship looks like.

What they have, how they live their lives taking one day at a time . . . together.
