Tired, hungry, cold, and wet,
This is how we first met,
Needing a job,
No place to call home,
Both had children that past on,
One five and one ten,
How we shall never see them again,
Tired, hungry, cold, and wet,
Who would think that after two children we would split,
Did not get along,
We always fought,
Being homeless was how we meet,
Both just wanting some kind of a pet,
Now we strive to be friends,
How I pray you are never homeless again,
Tired, hungry, cold, and wet,
Being homeless is how we first meet.
