Time

Too busy looking back at what I had

To appreciate where I'm at, world in hand

Missing the mistakes, every misstep taken

Missing the mysteries the world has awaken

Begrudgingly trudging through time passed

Passing through as though time lasts

Seeing the future clear as a clairvoyant does

Still stuck in the past, of what was

Incapable of coping with the path I chose

Writing my woes so everyone knows

Future as feared as a fever dream

Fervor fading, or so it may seem

Drive dug up from the dark depths below

Driven by the destiny dreamt up years ago

Striving for the success I sought for myself

Staving off self-doubt without any help

Overcoming obstacles until overcame

Over and over, again and again
