Tied

Location

Looking out at the ocean,

I see the waves rolling in.

I stand here upon my perch,

I stand with arms and feet tied.

Not by ropes of another's desires,

but by my own care for others.

My ropes are of my own making,

I dare not cut them off.

If the rope fall,

My inner being rushes foward,

The tides will overwhelm them.

And so I stand here,

Bound by my own will.

I hold back my ocean of tears.

I hold back my ocean of anger and regret.

I hold back my ocean of sorrows and fears and pains.

No one can untie me.

I won't let them swim in my oceans.
