Through Thick and Thin

Location

St. George's Catholic Church
This is the poem I wrote to propose to my fiancee, Emily. I read it to her after Church on October 6th, 2012. Our pastor gave a homily on marriage that night, which made it even more special.

You’ve seen me through times good and bad

Through thick and thin, through glad and sad

You’ve never ever left my side

No matter what fate did decide

You’re sweet, you’re kind, you’re beautiful

You’re loving, caring, and perfect too

You’re my darling, my princess, my special girl

You are, and forever will be, my entire world

I love you with all my heart

Such that we will never part

And now I ask you on one knee

Emily will you marry me?
