Thoughts Ringing

Location

I hear her own thoughts ringing, the shadows that blur her eyes.

Those of doubts, each one clouding her judgment as they become constantly large and suffocating.

The abstract ideas turning opaque as they echo dimly through the thick shadow  –
Love.  Absence of love.  Lust.  Absence of trust.

The penetrating darkness ringing his as she willingly, hopefully, quietly,
succumbs to the darkness her shadow offers unashamedly.

The twisted knots untangling faster than the thoughts in her mind.

The foreign words slipping out of her grasp as she struggles to find them, or tries to run from  –
Reason.  Logic.  Ethics.

The familiar words forming a haze as they float through the nothingness –
Passion.  Pain.  Anxiousness.

The line between right and wrong blurring beyond recognition as
she tumbles into the awaiting arms of her merciless shadow.

Each thought rings unique to her and no one else.

Each thought belongs to her and begs the question  –
Would you believe her if she said she’s in love?
