Thoughts of Her

If I could be anywhere, I'd be with you,
If that could cross the miles that separate us,
I would be right there as you wish me to,
If you were a snake,
And I a shrew,
I often wonder,
Would our love still be true?
But the clouds, they keep a rollin'
And sometimes they block the Sun from view,
The Sun that warms my world, the Sun that gives me life and joy,
The daily star that wakes my eyes, that is you,
However, as in all worlds it must rain,
On my those days I hold my temper until I am blue,
The blue like your eyes, the blue like the waves
The blue of the flames beneath a skew,
You are all I see, all I hear, and all I feel,
I decided to write you a poem of many words rather than a few,
By this time you'll have sighed a million sighs,
And i'll begin to think that for my love you have no clue,
Then you'll call my name and say praise,
And I'll be reassured you do,
So, my love, until we meet again, in some distant time,
Just know my mind is on one thing, but my heart is set on two.
