Thought patterns

Romans 12:2 “… and be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and accepted and the perfect will of God”

Galatians 5:16 “I say then, walk in the Spirit and you shall not

fulfill the lust of the flesh”

Galatians 5:22 “The fruit of the Spirit is …”

Mind and spirit are both needed to complete the Christian walk.

Otherwise my brethren ... there is an unbalanced life.

Effectiveness rests on both to glorify ... God in our thinking

and walk in such accordingly ... a life enhanced with Christ’s.

Who controls my mind ... only just myself?

Well than! Why can’t I control it all the time?

If neither God nor I ... regulate my mental life

is it the power of darkness ... its influence and strife?

Is it God’s intention for a man to control himself

and in such to follow ... the call of his desires?

Does a man possess “free-will” and has the authority

to regulate and fill ... natural endowment under fire?

Mental process should be subject to the power of his will.

A Christian ought to inquire where his thoughts originate.

Is it I who is thinking ... or is it another spirit

who is able to work my mind and so does integrate?

Are the thoughts in my head opposite of my will?

These thoughts then ... surely can’t be mine.

Rather are those which emanate from another source

who uses my ability against the self in my mind.

Origination of ideas ... activation in my mind

and each thought man chooses ... not to think.

Opposition to man’s will ... the influence from the outside

through the eyes of choice ... as the mind grasps certain things.

When thoughts go on the rampage ... out of will’s control.

It seems to be impossible ... for the brain to stop the sequence.

Like an out side force controls it ... as one is impotent to resist.

It must be an evil spirit ... that is at work in disobedience.

Ephesians 2:2 “… according to the prince of the power of the air

who now works in the sons of disobedience.

2:3 among whom also we all once we conducted ourselves

in the lust of the flesh”

Flash thoughts and loss of memory ... are really contrary

to the natural cause and effect ... as God’s law defines.

Powers of darkness we well know ... work on the inside and the out

and produce the havoc ... that is setting the natural course on fire.

John 13:2 “… as the supper ended, the devil having already put in the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him”.

Luke 8:12 “… then the devil comes and takes away the words from

their hearts …”

The devil works through ... our hidden priorities.

How does he know ... he cannot read our thoughts?

He can put thoughts in mind ... which we can really see

and then straight into the will ... where desires oft are caught.

He cannot perceive ... or hear our silent meditation?

but he understands through experience the desires heart.

It is really not sensible ... but possibly foreordained

these products of the flesh ... that set God and us apart.

Luke 8:12 “… then the devil comes and takes away the words from

their hearts …”

Words taken from the heart ... are like a memory loss.

even though it flashes back at times it has lost its real substance.

Just like words blowing in the wind never followed through by action.

An empty barrel rolling downhill as it breaks apart without evidence.

Evil also can squeeze real deep ... into a man’s thought life

and work there in confusing ... the matter of the source.

Appearing as real ... imitating the Prince of Light

and in such mislead except ... the “very elect” off course.
