Though... We Will

Though the limbs may shake

Though the neck may snap

Though the tears are welling

We will not succumb

Though our lip is bruised

Though our pulse beats loud

Though crescents mark our skin

We will hold on tight

Though stress has bound us

Though fear has wound us

Though heartbreak has found us

We will keep on

Keep on moving

Keep on rolling

Keep on doing

We etch plans behind our eyes

We pick ourselves back up when they fail

We put one foot in front of the other

For even in these darkened days

We shall make the light

For even when tears blind us

We will paint hope onto the canvas of our future

For even when the pressure drives us to our knees

We will stand, and move, one micro-step at a time.
