I write for those that need the inspiration,
hoping my words could spark fire in a nation.

I can make you stand up and run,
maybe be a better father for your unborn son.

Take the time to help those in need,
even if it's those who don't have a voice to plead.

Clean up the streets and thank your mother,
don't ever cheat on a woman if you love her.

Stop and smell the flowers every once in while
and wipe that frown off your face, baby, just smile.

The world is messed up but if we all just try,
we can make it a better place before we lay down and die.
