The Things I Like About Me

My blood black and Trinity

My momma's black

My daddy's Trinidadian

I guess you can me

a Black,Trinidadian beauty

Curvy waisted

Brown eyed

Pretty faced

I'm black, but not dark-skinned

I'm caramel, beautifully brown

I have long, curvy legs, the legs that make me walk

I got beauty and brains

An intelligent woman with a beautiful shape

I live in the hood, but I'm sweet as pie

Still, you'll  get a bruise on  your eye

I live in the hood, but the hood don't live in me

One of the things I like about me

I'm strong

The days I feel critized

Feel wrong for being right

The embrassment of my voice

Just about everyday, I cry

But I know who I am and what I believe in

Now my voice may be quiet, but it's the sugar that sweetness

Every year, I change

For noone but me

One of the things I like about me

I'm a creator

Poetry and music

I turn make my pain into a story

I give myself the confidence

to wake up every morning

My music's my path to the right ways

Saving me from self-destruction

I'm a dancer

When I dance, I feel dance

I to dance whatever I'm feeling

I'm angry, I dance with power

I'm sexy, I dance sensually

I'm dance with excitement

I'm happy, I dance graceful

One of the things I like about me

I'm beautiful

I'm unique

I'm strong

I'm everything I like about me

"I'm perfect in all my imperfections".
