They Saw

Plastic, white containers can
Temporarily
Block out sound from the
Inside
But not
Vision,
For sight
Cannot be
Hindered by
Rusty cell bars
And the pounding
Of “cleansing”
Water
Or the violence of
Bloody, white sheets.

Vision is life,
It breathes,
Flows,
Explodes into
Light and
Crystal,
So dream, dream,
Dream,
And be forever
Free,
Let no one contain you
Don’t be afraid to
See.
