They never understoodThey couldn't

They never understood
They couldn't comprehend
Why that child would take her life
It all came to an end

She sat by herself at lunch
She didn't have a single friend
Every night she'd cry herself to sleep
People saw her as the wind

Oh why, why are people so cruel?
Oh why, why, why?

When will people start treatin' others like they have a heart?
Instead of judgin' others by what they wear
And when will people see were all the same from the start
We all want someone to call a friend

What makes people think
They're better than others?
We all have have a heart
That could shatter like glass

And what do you know about their life?
It just might take a friend
To help them fight
the sleepless night
So will you be the one
Who's gonna take a stand
And do what you know is right?

Oh when will they see?

When will people start treatin' others like they have a heart?
Instead of judgin' others by what they wear
And when will people see were all the same from the start
We all want someone to call a friend
