This tree is over these lights.
Digital monuments now replace the sky.
Strut with purpose, meaning is fleeting.
screaming is freeing.
Ignorance is seething.
Castle walls are falling down, around us all.
Imagery that stains the bubble of my dreams,
oh, my. The world is falling apart at the seams.
These walls wont stop screaming at me.

Lion, I've seen you eat much more.
ICBM, I've seen you heal much more.
The ground is staring at my feet,
As they shuffle across the street.
Is this the sound of defeat?
Push these nightmares in wet cement.

Skeptical disposition fills your bones.
But I believed these words.
Sew up these truths to the ceiling.
The porcelain crashes.
My eyes are tested in the fire.
My viscous heart floats on in the ocean.
Faith walks on its cane.
Grizzled and tormented, hope is found in the abyss.
Manifest these words, and provide antithesis,
Because every being is specious.

The imagery in this poem is so deep and vivid, especially when you write about the images in your dreams, because you use imagery to write about imagery. This is an amazing technique! Keep writing, and be sure to check out "poetry writing tips" in the "resources" section of the site!
