The world needs poetry

Its a confusing and undescribable thing that no one truly understands 

But they still need it

Its cold words chipping away at their tough exterior 

Its soft images floating them away from the horrible events of the earth

There are things that happen that even the world doesn't understand

That's why they need poetry to take them away from the terrible happenings going on

Poetry makes people feel loved even when they're not

Poetry makes people feel happy even when they're depressed

Poetry makes people feel disturbed even in their innocence

Poetry distracts people from the harsh realities of life

The world needs poetry

And that's why the world needs
