everyday was bleak,
I was so angry, so sad.
I felt so alone, I was so weak.
The tears came daily,
I could not see through the dark,
I felt alone in every imaginable way.
I had been hurt,
I had been abused.
The pain seemed to leave a permanent mark,
There was a scar that would never seem to fade.
Then there was you.
With your smile and charm,
The walls are coming down.
An act that is long over due.
You have shown me the light,
What love should be.
I melt in your arms,
I shiver at your touch.
Something about this feels all too right.
It's like I have been waiting for you all my life.
You have given me faith,
You have goven me hope.
You have made me feel whole,
You have pulled me into the light.
You have gotten rid of all my fears,
Wiped away my insecurities.
Made me feel like me again.
I was a mess,
Tired and scared.
Then there was you,
Then there was you.
