Theirs To

Location

"Theirs not to make reply"

"Theirs not to reason why"

"Theirs but to do and die"

It becomes theirs to listen to music brainwashing to make complacency look cool

Theirs to all drug lords and gang lords to rule

Theirs to live in chaos and anarchy

Which drives them away from liberty

Locked away for 25 years to life

Theirs to become the inferior race

Not because of their time or living space

But due to their lack of a guide

Who would hide them and chide them and cheer them onto the better road

Theirs to leave behind a generation raised by one parent

Who can barely pay rent

Let alone raise a child

So we have children raising children

And fathers in prison

But we turn a blind eye because we have better things to do

Where are the hands that care for the least of these

Who will help transform their mentality

To become leaders and dreamers who move and shake the culture for good

Rather than fall through the cracks of the system and become another statistic

I'm not on a soapbox this is for me too

We can't give up we must turn back and do

Do something to inspire build the fire of curiosity

And give kids the chance to aspire to never be less than their best

That is what is theirs to do no questions asked
