Thank you but goodbye.

People say I hate you for what you have done

But in reality, I appreciate everything you have and haven't done.

In fact, I thank you.

I thank you for being weak

For I have learned to be strong.

I thank you for becoming the person you are,

For I have learned to never be like you.

I thank you for being the first to break my heart,

For now I am immune to pain.

I thank you for showing me death,

For one I can truly live.

I thank you for leaving me no history,

For now I can make my own.

I thank you for leaving me behind,

For now I understand what it is like to be truly abandon.

Though I thank you, this is my final goodbye.

I am tired.

Not the I ran a marathon tired;

Not like a man who wakes up early in the morning to work long hours to only wake up the next morning to do to all over again tired;

But the irritated tired.

Tired of being disappointed.

Tired of being second choice.

Tired of wanting to be wanted.

I appreciate everything you have and haven’t done

For without you there would be no me

I thank you but I must leave you behind like you left me.
