Thank you, 5:00 A.M

Thank you for making it today, 5:00 A.M

For illuminating my room and my skin with your tender light

And for convincing me that I can still breathe

During the hours when my will is weak.

I apologize for the lack of time we might spend together

I do mean it when I say, you are my favorite occasion

My favorite moment of the day.

You and 5:00 P.M are nothing alike

She is cruel and unforgiving

You are soft and you are fulfilling.

Thank you 5:00 A.M for your loyal existence

After the gloom, the impending doom

Thank you for the tranquility, the invulnerability.

Thank you 5:00 A.M for being there

In the morning

After the mourning.
